Bringing nature into our learning spaces: co‑creating living environments with children

Objectifs
This tailor‑made training enables participants to:
- Understand the impact of nature contact and nature connectedness on the wellbeing, health and development of both children and adults.
- Explore key concepts such as experience extinction, nature deficit disorder and biophilic design.
- Experience a sensory immersion in nature and learn how to translate it into indoor renaturation.
- Learn how to create nature‑based experiences for children, capture their emotions and guide a participatory process to transform indoor and outdoor spaces.
Content
- Theoretical introduction: scientific insights on nature, wellbeing, creativity and social behaviour.
- Sensory nature experience: observation, creation, silence, emotional sharing.
- Educational methodology: designing nature experiences, collecting children’s impressions, leading a creative brainstorm.
- Transfer & co‑creation workshop: developing a concrete renaturation idea (biophilic design) and learning how to co‑create it with children.
- Closing: practical steps to implement the project in the childcare structure.

- Head: scientific and theoretical inputs

- Hands: participatory tools (drawings, models) and a concrete action plan
