What if reconnecting with nature became a tool for integration and better living together?
< TO MY BLOG
This week, I had the pleasure of leading a nature reconnection session as part of the “Bis am Bus” project, organized by Ons Heemescht (https://lnkd.in/epXX4Vhc) in collaboration with the consultative commission Vivre Ensemble in Beaufort.
An inspiring initiative aimed at creating bonds between residents—whether they have always lived here or are newly arrived. A real challenge in a municipality where 83% of residents have migratory origins.
Why use nature to foster connection?
Nature is a soothing environment, a space where barriers fade, where exchanges become more authentic, and where we can connect beyond words and cultural differences.
For newcomers, nature can be an unfamiliar, even intimidating space. Learning to embrace it, to feel its benefits on body and mind, is also a way to open up to a new territory and feel grounded in one’s host country.
Slow down, breathe, feel, share…
Grateful to have shared this moment with participants from all over the world and from Beaufort. A diversity that proves that, despite our different backgrounds, we all share this deep connection with nature.
